A closer look at your care.
Digital imaging and planning tools support the way we evaluate your smile and discuss your treatment options with you.
Imaging & Planning
See what we see
Clear images make it easier to understand what is happening in your mouth and why a treatment is recommended.
Digital impressions with the iTero scanner
A small handheld wand captures a 3D digital model of your teeth. The scan appears on screen as it is taken, so we can review it together.
Digital scans replace most traditional putty impressions, which many patients find more comfortable. The same scan can be used to plan crowns, clear aligners and other treatment, and to compare changes in your teeth over time.
Intraoral cameras
A small camera shows close-up images of individual teeth on a screen, so you can see the same details we are looking at.
Cracks, worn fillings and early decay are often hard to describe and hard to see in a hand mirror. Seeing them on screen helps you understand the condition of each tooth and ask questions before deciding on treatment.
Digital and panoramic X-rays
Digital X-rays help us check areas between and below teeth. A panoramic X-ray shows the full upper and lower jaw in one image.
Digital X-rays use a lower dose of radiation than traditional film, and the images are ready to view within seconds. We keep them on file so we can compare them at future visits.
3D cone beam CT
Cone beam imaging creates a three-dimensional view of the teeth, jaw and surrounding structures, which helps with planning treatment such as dental implants.
The scan shows bone height and width, nerve position and sinus location in detail that standard X-rays cannot. This helps us decide whether an implant is suitable and plan where it should be placed.

More tools we use
Digital occlusal analysis
Measures how your teeth meet when you bite, which helps when planning restorations or checking bite comfort. It can show where pressure is uneven, which may point to the cause of a sore tooth or a high filling.
Digital smile design
Lets us plan cosmetic changes digitally and talk through the look you want before treatment starts. Photos and scans of your teeth help preview proposed changes to shape, length and shade.
Ultrasonic scalers
Used during cleanings to remove hardened deposits from teeth and along the gumline. Gentle vibration and a water spray loosen buildup with less scraping than hand instruments alone.
Cosmetic Options
Products available for cosmetic treatment
Opalescence Boost
An in-office professional whitening product. It is applied by our team in a single visit, with your gums protected during treatment.
Lumineers
A brand of thin porcelain veneers. Because they are very thin, they often need little or no reshaping of the natural tooth. Ask whether they suit your smile goals.
Our Office
A refurbished, modern practice
Our Fullerton office has been refurbished with modern equipment in a refreshed, contemporary space.
